On September 7 Russian Ambassador Anton Vasiliev took part in events on the occasion of the first international search and rescue exercise Arctic Guardian 2017 off the coast of Iceland.<br />

The eight states of the Arctic Council make up the Arctic Coast Guard Forum, which organized the exercise.<br />
<br />
Assets used in the exercise consisted of maritime units from Canada, Denmark, Iceland, Norway and the United States. Russia provided automatic data interchange system.
