On the 5th Russian Cinema Week in Iceland

The 5th Russian Cinema Week took place in Iceland in period of September 13-26. The event is held by the Production Center Norfest, Northern Traveling film Festival and Russian Embassy in the Republic of Iceland with financial support from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and Icelandic investment fund GAMMA Capital Management.

5 new Russian films and animation were in the program of the 5th Week: Icebreaker, 2016, Director Nikolay Khomeriri, After you have gone, 2016, Director Anna Matison, Monk and demon, 2016, Director Nikolai Dostal, fairy tale “He is dragon”, 2015, Director Indar Dzhendubaev, Sergei Prokofiev: on the way, 2016, Director Anna Matison and animation tales of the peoples of Russia «Mountain of Gems», 2008.

By tradition films of the 5th Russian Cinema Week were screened not only in Reykjavik (Bio Paradis cinema, University of Iceland and Society on Russian-Icelandic cultural relations "MIR") but also around the country, in towns Vestmannaeyar, Stykkishólmur, Ísafjördur, Sauðarkrokur.

All the events of the Week found great public attention and emotional support.
